Birchwood Construction Company Welcomes New Family Members

Each member of the Birchwood Family is integral to our success. We're a team of empowered brothers and sisters working to be the best we can—together. When you work with us, you'll be warmly welcomed into the family, too. Please join us in welcoming our newest BCC Family members!

Becky Babcock joined the BCC Family as the Marketing Ninja in April. As the Ninja of the company, Becky handles advertising, marketing, social media, and community relations. Becky has a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University, and over 15 years of marketing experience in northern Michigan.

“I am amazed at the work culture and scope of projects the BCC Family builds. Joining the Birchwood Family was exactly what I was looking for!”

When she’s not doing marketing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter exploring Northern Michigan. She enjoys photography and volunteering in her community of Alanson, and currently serves on the Alanson Public Schools Board of Education.

Trevor Cole joined the Birchwood Family in April as Project Manager. For the past 9 years, he spent his time in commercial construction with Clark Construction downstate. Prior to that, he was in residential construction. It’s safe to say, he’s happy to be back working full-time in Northern Michigan in residential.

“I enjoy BCC’s connection to its clients, partners, and work family. We really know how to take care of people. I also love BCC’s mantra of we get to build cool sh*t, because we really get to, every day!”

During his free time, he loves to hang out with his family and friends and doing anything revolving around sports, especially football, golf, baseball, and basketball. Trevor is married to his wife Valerie, and together they have two children – Thayer and Eliza – and a dog named Barley.

AJ Ashley joins the BCC Family for the summer of 2022 as an Apprentice. He is a Petoskey resident and a 2nd year student at Michigan State University studying Management.

“I chose to join the family at BCC because it’s just that, a family. A business that builds lasting relationships with its partners and customers.”

In his free time, AJ is out in the woods hiking, adventuring to experience new places around the area or on the golf course with friends.
