PROJECT ESTIMATOR

Requirements

What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing detailed cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and proposals.
Validating subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure scope completeness and accuracy.
Collaborating with architects to resolve RFIs and clarify project requirements.
Developing project schedules that account for market conditions and lead times.
Researching and sourcing materials, ensuring precision and efficiency in cost forecasting.
Partnering with project managers to ensure seamless handoffs and effective contract negotiations.
Maintaining and enhancing our cost database to reflect industry trends and insights.
Creating special reports that analyze data and identify emerging construction trends.
Staying ahead of the curve through ongoing education and technical training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in construction, including estimating.
Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, industry practices, and construction means and methods.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and electronic estimating tools.
Expertise in data analysis and a solid understanding of financial and project management principles.
